Tom has worked in both West End Theatres and BBC Television for more years than he cares to mention. (Its 27... Don’t tell anyone)

 

Whilst at the BBC Tom worked on a wide variety of programmes, from Children's TV to Light Entertainment and Drama. This experience provided him with an excellent grounding in all aspects of production in the broadcast sector.

 

On leaving the BBC he created Spearhead Media so he could carry on his passion and knowledge to full effect by making high quality and effective films. His experience is the driving force behind the business.

 

Tom is obsessed with stories and spends any time he is not working at his nearest cinema or with his head in a novel.

 

 

Carl Yates - Creative Director

"The Whippersnapper"

 

Despite being relatively new to the industry, Carl has had an incredibly busy few years.

 

Since graduating from Staffordshire University with a degree in Media (Film) Production, Carl has managed to find time to work as a cinematographer on both Short and Feature length films. This, coupled with his work with Spearhead Media has given him the real world grounding needed to realise projects on time and on budget, while still achieving his high creative and visual standards.

 

While he's not on set or drooling over whatever latest film equipment has been announced, Carl can be found either collapsed on his sofa or helping out at his local amateur dramatics society.

 

Films which Carl has shot have gone on to win awards all over the country, including at the 2013 Midlands RTS awards.
